[Financial News] BTO said on the 1st that it visited Busan Jung-gu Office on the 30th of last month and donated children's futsal shoes for children participating in sports activities through Jung-gu Dream Start.
That day, Jung-gu shared the purpose and operational achievements of the Dream Start program and held a sports equipment handover ceremony with BTO. The donated futsal shoes will be individually delivered to eligible children through Jung-gu Dream Start.
The donation ceremony was held in conjunction with the "Morning Park Run: Run for Kids" event. It is a participatory tourism program in which people run through the park and the old downtown area during the unused morning hours at Yongdusan Park. BTO prepared the donated goods by converting each cumulative kilometer run into a social contribution value of 2,000 won.
Approximately 390 people applied for the event, and 50 people selected by lottery participated. The participants ran an average of 4.5 kilometers each, covering 225 kilometers in total.
A BTO official said, "It is even more meaningful that the distance covered by citizens and tourists running together has led to sharing that supports children's healthy sports activities." The official added, "We will continue our collaborative projects so that the achievements of tourism content can be returned to the local community as tangible assistance."
