Homeplus Express Marks 100 Days Since Fresh Start, Holds Customer Appreciation Events to Accelerate Recovery

[Financial News] Homeplus Express is holding online and offline customer appreciation events to mark 100 days since it began new operations. The company said sales and customer metrics have also shown signs of recovery as it focused on stabilizing product supply and store operations.
According to industry sources on the 1st, Homeplus Express is giving customers at stores nationwide rice cakes commemorating the 100-day milestone on a first-come, first-served basis. Its online store is also offering discount coupons and special 100-day anniversary deals through the 4th.
The company is also holding a grocery shopping promotion. Through the 4th, it will offer discounts on fresh foods, including mandarins, apples, persimmons, cucumbers and chicken for dakbokkeumtang, as well as key processed foods such as rice, ramen and instant rice. Through the 7th, the discount selection will expand to include grapes, sweet potatoes, Korean pork belly and pork neck, and anchovies. Bundle-purchase benefits will apply to some processed foods, tofu and cheese.
Homeplus Express has focused on stabilizing product supply and store operations since beginning new operations on June 23. According to the company, a comparison of May 23 to June 22 with July 21 to September 24 showed that average daily sales rose 171.6%, customer count increased 118.6% and average spending per customer grew 24.2%. During the same period, online sales and the number of orders increased by 184.3% and 157.4%, respectively.
