The National Library of Korea said on the 1st that it will hold the “Library Concert” on the lawn plaza from noon to 1 p.m. on the 15th. The event will mark the 81st anniversary of the library’s opening and express gratitude to its users.
The library opened on October 15, 1945, in Sogong-dong, Jung District, Seoul, under the name “National Library.”
Musical actors Yoon Ji-in, Yoon Hyeong-ryeol and Park Hye-min, along with the NUBES Children’s Choir, will take the stage. They will present a gala performance featuring signature songs from musicals, as well as a mini talk show and a reading accompanied by music.
The one-hour lunchtime performance combines musicals and readings, allowing library users to experience different genres during their lunch break.
Advance applications are accepted through the 8th under the Lectures and Seminars menu in the Education and Cultural Events section of the National Library of Korea’s website. Further details are available in the notices and announcements under Library News in the About the Library section.
Choi Yoon-kyung, head of the International Exchange and Public Relations Team at the National Library of Korea, said, "I hope this concert will give people an opportunity to enjoy books and music together at the library and experience a sense of leisure in their daily lives."
