Eugene Group announced on the 1st that it will run the walking-donation campaign "Yujin-irang Gachi-georeum" for youth preparing for self-reliance through the 31st.
Under the campaign, participants accumulate the steps they take in their daily lives to reach a collective goal, after which Eugene Group makes a donation. Steps are collected through the walking-donation platform Bigwalk. Once the total reaches 300 million steps, Eugene Group will donate 10 million won to youth preparing for self-reliance.
A social media verification event will also be held to encourage participation. During the campaign period, participants must walk at least 10,000 steps, donate their steps through Bigwalk, and upload the issued donation certificate to their personal social media account along with the required hashtags. Garmin smartwatches, On running shoes, and Shokz open-ear earphones will be awarded through a random draw.
Kim Jio, an assistant manager at Yujin Gigeop who participated in the campaign, said, "It is meaningful that walking, something we can naturally practice in our daily lives, can become a source of support for someone's new beginning." Kim added, "I look forward to joining this act of sharing by pooling our steps with colleagues."
