[Financial News] Renault Korea is unveiling a new flagship showroom in Busan’s Dongnae District. A flagship showroom is a key store designed to highlight a brand’s identity and introduce top-spec models or new products first. With the opening, Renault Korea is once again emphasizing its identity as a global company based in Busan. It also officially announced plans to launch the Busan New Tech Center in 2027.
Renault Korea held an opening ceremony for its flagship showroom, Renault Dongnae, at 51 Myeongnyun-ro in Busan’s Dongnae District on the afternoon of the 1st.
Renault Dongnae is Renault Korea’s second flagship showroom, following Renault Seongsu. Renault Korea redesigned the showroom under the slogan, “Renault is made in Busan and drives through Busan.”
Through Renault Dongnae, Renault Korea plans to once again highlight to local residents its identity as a global company headquartered in Busan, while holding various brand-experience events.

The ceremony was attended by Renault Korea President Nicolas Paris, other Renault Korea executives and employees, and representatives of partner companies, as well as prominent Busan figures including Busan Mayor Jeon Jae-soo, Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Yang Jaesaeng, and BNK Financial Group Chairman Bin Dae-in.
Renault Korea also officially announced its plans at the event to launch the Busan New Tech Center next year.
The Busan New Tech Center is being established to transfer some of Renault Korea’s key future-vehicle development functions—including various development certifications and safety testing—from its existing concentration in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, to Busan. The center will also replace the facilities with the latest equipment to maximize integration with and efficiency of production processes.
“We plan to build an end-to-end automotive production ecosystem in Busan that encompasses the entire process, from testing new vehicles to final production,” Renault Korea President Nicolas Paris said. He emphasized, “By combining world-class development and testing capabilities with the craftsmanship of the Busan plant, we will lead Busan to become a hub for future-vehicle development.”
To this end, Renault Korea plans to invest approximately KRW 70 billion in facility construction and launch the Busan New Tech Center in the first half of next year. The center will be located within the Renault Korea Busan plant and will be equipped with 17 integrated core R&D facilities, including a crash-test site, sled test equipment (SLED), and multipurpose environmental test chambers. In addition, Renault Korea plans to work with the city of Busan to establish additional state-of-the-art facilities outside the Busan plant to enhance the region’s future-vehicle R&D capabilities.
