【Financial News, Incheon = Reporter Han Gap-su】 To coincide with the peak fall tourism season, a special operation of the Wolmi Sea Train will be held in conjunction with Incheon's signature nighttime festival, the 'Incheon Open Port Area National Heritage Night Tour.'
Incheon Transit Corporation announced on the 1st that it will conduct a special night-tour-themed operation of the Wolmi Sea Train from the 9th to the 11th.
During the festival, the corporation will extend the Wolmi Sea Train's operating hours by two hours, from the current 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitors can enjoy nighttime views of Incheon Port and the West Sea from the train before taking in the nighttime festival and cultural heritage around the Open Port Area.
A 'Night Tour-themed Photo Zone' reflecting the atmosphere of the Open Port Area will be set up in the customer waiting room at Wolmi Sea Station. Visitors can also take photos using props such as hats and parasols from the port-opening era. A free robot-powered 'Wolmi Sea Four-Cut' service will also be available through December 31.
Starting at 5 p.m. each day during the festival, glow bracelets will be distributed to Wolmi Sea Train passengers on a first-come, first-served basis, with 500 given out each day and 1,500 in total.
A social media photo-verification event will also run from the 9th to the 25th. Those who post photos taken at the photo zone or the Night Tour venue on social media along with the required hashtags will be entered into a drawing, with mobile gift vouchers awarded to 60 winners.
Choi Jeong-gyu, president of Incheon Transit Corporation, said, "I hope you enjoy the nighttime views of the sea and harbor from the train, as well as the nighttime scenery of the Open Port Area."
