[Financial News] Volvo Car Korea is enhancing financing benefits for its SUV lineup throughout October to celebrate ranking No. 1 in product satisfaction for seven consecutive years. Buyers of the XC90, XC60 and XC40 can choose from a high-residual-value lease, interest-free installment financing or a deferred-payment installment plan. Depending on the model, monthly payments start in the 340,000-won range.
Volvo Car Korea said on Oct. 1 that it would run a special October financing promotion for buyers of the XC90, XC60 and XC40 in partnership with its official financial partner, Shinhan Card.
Under the high-residual-value lease program, customers can receive a guaranteed residual value of up to 54% at the end of the contract. For the XC90 B6, customers can pay a 39% down payment and make monthly payments of 499,000 won for five years. The XC60 B5 is available for 489,000 won per month after a 30% down payment, while the XC40 B4 is available for 349,000 won per month after a 32% down payment.
At the end of the contract, customers can choose to purchase the vehicle, return it or enter into a new lease.
Interest-free installment financing is also available. The XC90 qualifies for up to 48 months of interest-free financing, while the XC60 and XC40 qualify for up to 36 months. Depending on the model, customers pay 49% to 61% of the vehicle price upfront and divide the remaining balance into interest-free payments.
For the XC90 B6, buyers can purchase the vehicle for 799,000 won per month after making an initial payment of 61%. A deferred-payment installment program is also available, allowing customers to reduce their initial costs and postpone payment of part of the balance.
Warranty benefits will also be expanded. Customers who sign contracts during the promotion will receive extended coverage for key powertrain components, including the engine and transmission, from the existing five years and 100,000 km to seven years and 140,000 km.
The XC90, XC60 and XC40 models included in the promotion feature Volvo Car UX, based on Qualcomm's next-generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platform. They also support free over-the-air software updates for 15 years.
The benefits also include a general parts warranty, consumables replacement services, an eight-year or 160,000-km warranty for the high-voltage battery, and a five-year subscription to the digital services package.
Volvo Car Korea recently ranked first overall among domestic and imported car brands for the seventh consecutive year in a product satisfaction survey conducted by ConsumerInsight, an automotive research firm.
