Seoul Metropolitan Government Names Former YTN (Yonhap Television News) Anchor Team Deputy Head Ho Jun-seok as Spokesperson

[Financial News] Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 1st that it had appointed Ho Jun-seok, former deputy head of YTN's anchor team (photo) as its new spokesperson. Ho Jun-seok, the new spokesperson, entered journalism in 1994 as a reporter in YTN's Newsroom and later served as a reporter assigned to cover Cheong Wa Dae, head of the anchor office, head of the Planning and Coordination Office, and deputy head of the anchor team. 
The Seoul Metropolitan Government spokesperson is an open position. The selection process began with an open recruitment campaign in August, followed by a review by a selection examination committee that included outside experts and others, and a recommendation from the personnel committee.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government expects Ho to draw on his experience in the media sector to convey the city's positions on major policies and pending issues to citizens and serve as a communication channel that reflects their voices in municipal administration.
