Samsung Biologics to Participate in a Series of Global Pharma and Biotech Events in October

[Financial News] Samsung Biologics will participate in a series of major pharmaceutical and biotech events held in Japan, Italy, the United States and South Korea throughout October. The company aims to expand touchpoints with global customers and showcase the competitiveness of its contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) business.
According to Samsung Biologics on Oct. 1, the company will participate in BioJapan 2026, which will be held in Yokohama, Japan, from Oct. 7 to 9. This will mark its fourth consecutive year of participation since 2023, and it will operate a solo booth again this year.
At the event, the company will highlight its end-to-end CDMO services, which connect research and development with manufacturing, as well as its large-scale manufacturing capacity for customers in the Asia-Pacific region, including Japan.
On the first day of the event, James Choi, vice president of sales support, will present on integrated CDMO services designed to address changing demand from pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Choi Yeon-jeong, a professional in the New Modality Group, will unveil research findings on optimizing the antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) conjugation process using computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
In Italy, Samsung Biologics will participate in CPHI Milan 2026, which will take place in Milan from Oct. 6 to 8. The company will operate a solo booth to hold business discussions with prospective customers, including global pharmaceutical companies, while showcasing its contract manufacturing organization (CMO) capabilities, global manufacturing sites and technologies in next-generation multimodality.
In the United States, the company will participate in World ADC San Diego, which will be held in San Diego from Oct. 12 to 15. It will showcase its ADC manufacturing and research and development capabilities, while unveiling related technologies through presentations and poster sessions.
Marc Studer, head of the ADC and mRNA Operations Team, will present on the operational strategies required to scale up ADC manufacturing. Jina Kim, head of the ADC Platform Discovery Group, will discuss research on bispecific ADCs, while Oh Se-gyu, a professional in the Organoid Technology Group, will present research findings on patient-derived organoids in a poster session.
Samsung Biologics will also participate in a domestic event. At BIOPLUS-INTERPHEX KOREA 2026 (BIX 2026), which will be held at COEX in Seoul from Oct. 28 to 30, Lee Tae-hee, an executive director on the Antibody Cell Purification Process Development Team, will present a development strategy for bispecific and multispecific antibodies.
Through its participation in these events, Samsung Biologics plans to present a growth strategy centered on expanding manufacturing capacity, strengthening its business portfolio and expanding its global manufacturing footprint. The company also plans to strengthen its CDMO competitiveness by increasing touchpoints with global customers at major pharmaceutical and biotech events.
