[Financial News] Mirae Asset Securities said on the 1st that it will rename its mobile trading system (MTS), 'M-STOCK,' as 'MAPS' and revamp it into an integrated investment platform supporting customers from reviewing their assets to making and executing investment decisions.
The revamp is a strategic brand transition aimed at reflecting the Mirae Asset Group's mid- to long-term vision, 'Mirae Asset 3.0,' in its mobile services. Existing M-STOCK users can access MAPS through an update without installing a separate app.
MAPS stands for 'Mirae Asset Portfolio Service.' It is designed around portfolios, allowing customers to review their entire asset holdings at a glance, assess their investment direction and proceed with transactions. After its initial introduction at the Hong Kong subsidiary last June, the service has now been rolled out in the Korean market.
The home screen is organized into 'Discover,' where users explore investment opportunities, and 'My Investments,' where they manage their holdings. The 'Discover' section provides information on market trends, major indexes, leading stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and financial products. The company also newly introduced 'MarketNow,' an artificial intelligence (AI) service that summarizes intraday market trends in one sentence every two hours.
The current-price screen has been reorganized to help users quickly identify key information. It offers simple charts showing price movements and improves accessibility by centering the layout on frequently used tabs.
A new menu providing digital-asset information has also been added. It consists of 'Market,' which offers market information and price quotes, and 'Insight,' which contains explanations of the future financial industry and blockchain technology, along with professional research materials. The menu is intended to help customers review traditional and digital assets together and understand digital assets as a new asset class for building portfolios.
The scope of global investment information has also been expanded. The platform provides price information on U.S. unlisted stocks through services such as Nasdaq Private Market (NPM), allowing users to access information on innovative private companies as well as listed firms. Following the revamped 'MY Assets' and 'InvestmentNOW,' an information service focused on held and watched securities, Mirae Asset Securities has strengthened features that support investment decisions.
Through MAPS, Mirae Asset Securities plans to establish an 'AI Everywhere' environment in which AI operates continuously throughout the investment process. It has expanded its AI services by adding 'MarketNow' to the existing 'AI Issue Check,' which analyzes sharply rising or falling stocks; 'AI Business Summary,' which summarizes companies' business activities; and 'AI Investment Brief,' which summarizes information on customers' holdings.
The company plans to introduce AI agents for consultations, work support and automated orders, as well as portfolio diagnosis and analysis features, in stages. Over the medium to long term, it aims to implement 'Agentic WM,' an active wealth-management system. Under this approach, AI will detect market changes and suggest necessary investment actions based on each customer's investment goals and constraints.
A Mirae Asset Securities official said, "MAPS is the starting point for realizing the principle that 'our customers' success is our success' through services designed for the AI era." The official added, "Under the vision that 'assets work even while customers sleep,' we will implement it in stages."
