[Financial News] Renault Korea is stepping up efforts to boost sales in October by offering extended warranties and fuel-cost support. Renault Filante and the 2027 Grand Koleos will come with a complimentary warranty covering up to seven years or 140,000 kilometers, while the Arkana Hybrid E-Tech will be eligible for 36-month interest-free financing along with fuel-cost support worth 5 million won.
Renault Korea announced on Oct. 1 that it would continue offering its "seven-year, 140,000-kilometer" complimentary warranty extension program in October for customers purchasing the Renault Filante and the 2027 Grand Koleos. The program has been available since September.
The program extends coverage for the body and general components, which are normally covered for three years or 60,000 kilometers, and for major engine and powertrain components, which are covered for five years or 100,000 kilometers, to up to seven years or 140,000 kilometers. However, after delivery, customers must visit an official Renault Korea service network once a year for a complimentary inspection of 12 items and a paid engine-oil change.
The existing warranties remain unchanged at eight years or 160,000 kilometers for hybrid-specific components and 10 years or 200,000 kilometers for the high-voltage battery. Even if the vehicle is sold as a used car, the extended warranty benefits can be transferred if conditions such as regular inspections are met.
Purchase incentives have also been enhanced by model. Depending on the production month, the Renault Filante will come with up to 1.5 million won in fuel support, along with either an electric sunshade or accessories worth 500,000 won. Vehicles produced before April qualify for 1.5 million won in fuel support, those produced from May through July qualify for 1 million won, and those produced in August qualify for 700,000 won.
The 2026 Grand Koleos comes with up to 3 million won in fuel support, depending on its production month. Customers purchasing vehicles produced before April can choose either 3 million won in fuel support or a package consisting of 1.5 million won in fuel support, a seven-year warranty extension, and vouchers for up to seven engine-oil changes. Those purchasing vehicles produced from May through July can likewise choose either up to 2 million won in fuel support or a package that includes the warranty extension and engine-oil change vouchers.
Renault Korea is focusing on price incentives for the Renault Arkana. Buyers of the Renault Arkana 1.6 GTe can choose between 36-month interest-free fixed-payment financing and 1 million won in fuel support. Buyers of the Arkana Hybrid E-Tech can receive 5 million won in fuel support even if they choose 36-month interest-free financing.
Support for owners of older vehicles and repeat buyers will also continue. Customers purchasing the Renault Filante or Grand Koleos who own a vehicle at least five years old will receive an additional 500,000 won. Repeat Renault Korea customers can receive benefits of up to 1 million won, depending on their purchase history, and eligibility has been expanded from the customer's and spouse's lineal ascendants and descendants to include siblings.
Renault Korea plans to stimulate demand by strengthening long-term warranties for the Renault Filante and Grand Koleos while concentrating interest-free financing and cash-equivalent benefits on the Renault Arkana.
