[Financial News] This fall, information on about 1,700 performances nationwide will be brought together in one place. The lineup spans major performing arts events and local stages, with recommendations tailored to companions and areas of interest.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) on the 1st, the '2026 Korea On Stage' campaign will run from today through November 30. MCST and Korea Arts Management Service are coordinating with 16 metropolitan and provincial cultural foundations to jointly promote performance information nationwide.
The Seoul International Performing Arts Festival will take place from the 8th to the 25th at the National Theater of Korea, Daehangno Theater QUAD, Arko & Daehakro Arts Theater, and other venues. It will present 20 domestic and international works in theater, dance, music, and multidisciplinary arts.
The Performing Arts Market in Seoul (PAMS) will support the distribution and international exchange of performing arts from the 13th to the 16th at the National Theater of Korea and other venues. It will showcase nine works in preview performances and hold work demonstrations and one-on-one business consultations to foster production and distribution partnerships.
The RE:BOUND FESTIVAL, which brings regional works to Seoul stages, will run from the 16th through November 14. This year, 20 of the region's leading arts organizations will present works at the Seoul Arts Center's Jayu Small Theater and performance venues in Seoul's autonomous districts, among other locations.
The three events serve different purposes: experiencing and brokering works, and helping regional productions enter the Seoul market. They bring together, within the same period, publicity that draws audiences to performance venues and exchanges that seek opportunities for works to be staged elsewhere.
Performance information is available on the official Korea On Stage website. Official social media channels will also introduce performances suitable for families with children or ones that can be enjoyed alongside regional travel. Participatory events, including the sharing of audience reviews, will also be held.
Performance discounts will also continue. The second round of performance discount vouchers, distributed since September 1, will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis through November 30 via Naver Booking, Nolday, YES24, Time Ticket, and Ticketlink.
Exclusive discount vouchers usable only at performance venues outside the capital region will be issued additionally through the four ticketing platforms other than Nolday, with two vouchers per person. Arts and culture centers outside the capital region will also offer on-site discounts to visitors aged 55 and older, people with disabilities, low-income people, farmers and fishers, and elementary, middle, and high school groups.
An MCST policy official said, "Through the campaign, we hope people will be able to enjoy performing arts more easily in their daily lives and that the performing arts market will be revitalized."
