Iran Receives U.S. Response to 'Seven-Day Confidence-Building Proposal'... "To Be Discussed in Tehran"

[Financial News] The Iranian government has begun an official review of U.S. President Donald Trump's response to its 'seven-day confidence-building proposal.' 
Fatemeh Mohajerani, an Iranian government spokesperson, told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on the 30th, "At today's Cabinet meeting, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reported the U.S. proposal to President Masoud Pezeshkian." However, she did not disclose the details of the response.
Foreign media outlets reported, "The key disagreement between the two sides is the sequence of implementation," adding, "The plan aims to build trust and return to a strengthened version of the memorandum of understanding on ending the war signed in June."
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reported to President Pezeshkian on the response from the United States that he had received after meeting with mediators in Doha, State of Qatar, on the 29th (local time). Earlier, during last week's United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Iran proposed the specific details of the 'seven-day confidence-building proposal' to the United States.
According to a compilation of foreign media reports, Iran proposed reopening the Strait of Hormuz within seven days if the United States met conditions including lifting its maritime blockade, immediately returning frozen funds, removing sanctions on Iranian oil exports, and halting combat on all fronts.
U.S. President Donald Trump rejected the proposal, but the two countries continued behind-the-scenes negotiations through mediators.
Sources said Iran and the United States had been sparring over the 'sequence of implementation.'
