On the 30th, BNK Financial Group announced that it had begun the management succession process for the CEOs of seven subsidiaries whose terms expire at the end of this year.
The BNK Financial Group Subsidiary CEO Candidate Recommendation Committee held a meeting that afternoon to discuss the procedure and schedule for recommending candidates for the subsidiary CEO positions.
The committee will comprehensively assess the candidates' careers, achievements, management capabilities, leadership, experience, and values through document screening, reputation checks, management-plan presentations, and in-depth interviews. The goal is to select the right candidates for each subsidiary based on their abilities and the management environment and characteristics of each company.
This management succession process also places particular emphasis on narrowing the information gap between candidates so that internal and external candidates can compete on fairer terms. BNK Financial Group plans to provide candidates in advance with necessary information, including each company's management status, major issues, and strategies over the past three years, enabling them to explain their management plans and capabilities based on a sufficient understanding of the company. The aim is to ensure a fair assessment by providing external candidates, who have had relatively fewer opportunities to learn about the companies than internal candidates, with the same information.
A BNK Financial Group official said, "This management succession process focuses on objectively verifying the candidates' qualifications and capabilities while creating an environment in which internal and external candidates can compete fairly," adding, "We will continue to do our utmost to enhance the fairness and transparency of the management succession process so that we can appoint outstanding executives to lead each subsidiary."
The group will select the initial candidate pool in mid-to-late October, narrow it down in mid-November, and choose the final candidates in mid-December. BNK Financial Group plans to select the right candidates after conducting sufficient reviews and assessments, and will continue to share key developments in the management succession process.
