[Financial News] Aribio Holdings announced on the 30th that Vice Chairman Seong Su-hyun had purchased 155,567 shares of the company on the open market for approximately KRW 500 million. The company explained, "The move reflects his commitment to strengthening responsible management and enhancing corporate value following the termination of the merger agreement with Aribio."
The two companies announced the termination of their merger agreement the previous day. In light of the changing business and financial environment since the merger process began, they plan to enhance their respective independent corporate values while continuing to pursue joint growth at the group level.
Despite the merger withdrawal, Aribio Holdings will retain its status as Aribio's largest shareholder and its role within the group. The company plans to enhance its corporate value through two main pillars: increasing the value of its stake as Aribio grows and expanding its own businesses. It will also strengthen efforts to leverage the expertise of each affiliate and identify new business opportunities.
The company will unveil its detailed growth strategy at the Aribio Group Vision Declaration Ceremony on October 1. Aribio Holdings, Aribio, and ARIBIO LAB will participate in the event and present the background to the merger withdrawal, the group's future operating direction, and each company's growth strategy.
An Aribio Holdings representative said, "Enhancing the corporate value of the two companies is more important than completing the merger."
