With the emphatic comeback victory, South Korea erased the humiliation of its consecutive defeats to China and moved within one step of an unprecedented fourth straight Asian Games men's football title, a streak dating back to the 2014 Incheon Games.
South Korea will face the winner of the semifinal between Uzbekistan and Japan, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on the 30th, in the highly anticipated final at 7:30 p.m. on October 3 at Toyota Stadium.
