Red Cross Honors 1 Billion Won Club Member Kim Geo-seok Donates Overseas Stocks to Korean Red Cross, Bringing Total Donations to About 1.6 Billion Won

[Financial News] Kim Geo-seok, a member of the Red Cross Honors 1 Billion Won Club, has donated overseas stocks to the Korean Red Cross, following previous donations of Bitcoin and Ripple (XRP). His total donations have now risen to approximately 1.6 billion won.
According to the Korean Red Cross on the 30th, Kim donated 6,000 shares of Unusual Machines (UMAC) worth approximately 200 million won. The donated shares will be converted to cash and used for the Korean Red Cross's humanitarian programs.
The approximately 1.4 billion won Kim had previously donated was used to support medically vulnerable people, residents displaced by heavy rains in Korea, and overseas disaster relief efforts.
He joined the Red Cross Honors Club as its 283rd member after donating 100 million won in December 2024. In January last year, he became the first member of the Red Cross Honors 1 Billion Won Club after pledging to donate 1 billion won.
He has continued donating, including one Bitcoin (BTC) and 100,000 units of Ripple (XRP) worth approximately 200 million won.
The Red Cross Honors Club is a group of major individual donors launched in 2016. It is open to supporters who have donated at least 100 million won or pledged to pay at least 100 million won within five years.
Kim said, "I have continued donating to give back to society the gains I have made through investments. I believe donations are ultimately a form of investment in building a better society."
Kim Young-ja, chair of the Red Cross Honors Club, said, "I hope this donation will serve as a catalyst for more people to give."
