[Financial News] Shinhan Investment & Securities has comprehensively revamped its dividend investing services on its mobile trading system (MTS), allowing users to access everything from exploring dividend investment information to managing received dividends, checking tax details, and planning future investments in one place.
Amid growing investor interest in dividend stocks and dividend-focused exchange-traded funds (ETFs), the move aims to improve customer convenience by providing related information through an integrated service.
Shinhan Investment & Securities announced on the 30th that it had strengthened its MTS dividend investing services to support customers throughout the entire dividend investment process. Previously, features for finding dividend-paying securities, checking received dividends, and viewing tax information were spread across different sections. The revamp connects these functions on a single platform.
Dividend investing has recently expanded beyond simply selecting securities with high dividend yields. Investors are increasingly managing the dividends they actually receive and forecasting future cash flows.
Drawing on the expertise of its wealth management brand, ShinhanPremier, Shinhan Investment & Securities focused on improving access to and the usability of dividend investment information.
The company first revamped its dividend information screens for individual securities so investors can intuitively check key indicators. Information in the current price screen's data menu was reorganized and visualized around key figures such as dividend yields and recent dividend payments, allowing users to understand each security's dividend characteristics at a glance.
It also enhanced its search features for investors looking for dividend-focused ETFs. The ETF rankings menu now includes expanded categories related to dividends and covered calls, while the ETF themes menu allows users to compare and explore a range of dividend-focused products.
Dividend Planner, which allows users to check dividend-related information in one place, was also introduced. Linked to users' holdings, it provides an integrated view of dividend status and payment records while improving access to key services and content needed for dividend investing.
Users can check not only records of dividends received but also dividend income information. Tax-related information is provided through the Tax Portal. By integrating dividend lookup and management features that previously required investors to move between multiple menus, the company said it is making wealth management more convenient.
The revamped service also adds a feature that forecasts future dividend trends, going beyond simply showing past dividend performance. Domestic stock investors can check estimated dividend payments and monthly dividend flows based on their holdings. Investors in overseas ETFs can use the future dividend simulation to review estimated dividend levels under different investment conditions.
Using these features, investors can anticipate the dividend cash flow their holdings may generate and use the information as a reference for developing long-term investment plans. However, estimated dividend payments may vary depending on actual dividend decisions and market conditions.
A Shinhan Investment & Securities official said, "As customers' interest in dividend investing has grown, demand has also increased for services spanning investment information discovery, asset management, and future planning." The official added, "We will continue to enhance our services based on ShinhanPremier's expertise in wealth management."
