[Financial News] Shinhan Bank announced on the 30th that it was selected as the top bank in the banking industry category of the 2026 Korean Customer Satisfaction Index (KCSI), organized by Korea Management Association Consulting (KMAC).
The KCSI is a customer satisfaction index that evaluates how satisfied customers are with products and services across various industries in South Korea. Shinhan Bank has earned the distinction of ranking first in the banking industry category for 13 consecutive years since 2014.
Shinhan Bank has improved its services and systems to reduce the inconveniences customers experience when using financial services and to provide a more convenient and secure financial environment. Its initiatives have included the Good Service Experience Survey, which collects feedback from various customer touchpoints and uses it to improve services; the Customer Convenience Innovation Project and Shinhan Refresh, which address customer inconveniences and share the results with customers; Shinhan Super SOL (Shinhan SOL), which integrates key financial services from banking, securities, cards and life insurance; and efforts to strengthen voice phishing prevention by upgrading its artificial intelligence (AI)-based fraud detection system (FDS) and sharing suspicious information among group companies.
Shinhan Bank is also continuing its initiatives for financially vulnerable groups. Through the Financial Protection Task Force for Customers with Dementia, which involves seven departments including the Consumer Protection Division, the bank is strengthening systems to protect older customers' assets and prevent financial fraud. It is also improving financial accessibility through Shinhan Hagijae, senior-tailored ATMs and customized consultation services for customers with disabilities.
