'Here's How to Wrap Up Each CSAT Subject'... Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special Metropolitan City Office of Education to Release Study Strategy Videos 50 Days Before the CSAT

【Financial News, Jeonnam-Gwangju—Reporter Hwang Tae-jong】The Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special Metropolitan City Office of Education is producing videos featuring final study strategies for each subject area to support high school seniors preparing for the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT), which will be held on November 19. The videos will be released in early October through the education office's official YouTube channel, 'Jeonnam-Gwangju Education TV.'
 An official from the Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special Metropolitan City Office of Education explained, "We have included the study strategies of current teachers for each subject area in videos lasting approximately 10 to 20 minutes in order to provide practical help to students working hard on their final studies ahead of the CSAT."
 The lectures will be delivered by teachers who have taught high school senior classes and provided CSAT preparation for many years: Jeon Eun-gi of Jeonnam High School for Korean, Sim Gyu-jeong of Gwangju Girls' High School for mathematics, Jang Dong-sul of Suwan High School for English, Jang Jeong-min of Jeonnam Girls' High School for social studies, and Jeong Yong-hui of Gwangju Gyeongsin Girls' High School for science.
 For the Korean language section, students were advised to thoroughly review the key concepts in reading passages and literary works covered in Educational Broadcasting System (EBS) CSAT-linked textbooks. Rather than forcing themselves to solve new problems, they were encouraged to revisit the most recent past exam questions and key items from the linked textbooks. The teachers also recommended practicing time allocation under conditions similar to the actual test to improve solving speed and test-taking skills.
 For mathematics, students were urged to review basic concepts and past exam questions while reducing mistakes on problems they can solve. They were also advised to check frequently tested core elements and use EBS-linked questions to learn approaches for different question types and time-management strategies.
 For English, students were advised not to be overly swayed by question difficulty and to answer accurately the questions they can solve. They were also encouraged to analyze incorrect answers from the June and September mock assessments to identify recurring mistakes and weak question types. For difficult questions, the teachers emphasized practicing how to find evidence for the correct answer in the passage.
 For social studies, students were encouraged to understand how concepts and keywords are applied in specific cases and presented passages rather than simply memorizing them. To prepare for longer passages and complex charts and data-analysis questions, they were advised to solve problems within set time limits and organize answer choices they frequently confuse, along with recurring types of incorrect answers.
 For science, students were advised not to be shaken by changes in the number of test takers and to maintain their study momentum for the two subjects they selected until the end. They were encouraged to conduct practical exercises two to three times a week under actual test-time conditions and address weaknesses by reviewing incorrect answers. They were also advised to check the question trends from the June and September mock assessments, as well as difficult questions and modified questions linked to the CSAT.
 An official from the Jeonnam-Gwangju Special Metropolitan City Office of Education urged students, "I hope test takers will calmly review their study progress during the time remaining, pay attention to their health, and fully demonstrate on the day of the CSAT the abilities they have built up so far."
