[Financial News] T car, the directly operated used-car platform run by LOTTE Rental, will hold a special promotion from October 1 to 31, offering immediate delivery of sport utility vehicles (SUVs) and recreational vehicles (RVs) suitable for car camping and camping.
According to LOTTE Rental on the 30th, T car has secured approximately 100 SUVs and RVs, mainly vehicles directly managed by LOTTE Rental. Customers who sign a contract in the morning may receive their vehicle the same day, while delivery typically takes one to two days. Vehicles can be picked up at a center or delivered to a location of the customer's choice.
T car has also made it easier to choose a vehicle. Based on how easily the seats can be folded to create a flat sleeping surface, it selected the Kia Carnival, Hyundai Palisade and Hyundai Santa Fe as its "Top 3 Best Cars for Car Camping." The Carnival features sliding doors on both sides and a spacious interior. The Palisade offers a long cargo area and an all-wheel-drive option, while the Santa Fe is distinguished by its boxy design and wide-opening tailgate.
LOTTE Rental explained that vehicles in the Top 3 promotion can be purchased at prices averaging 40% lower, and up to 63% lower, than the price of a new version of the same vehicle. The Kia Carnival starts in the 10 million-won range, and new special-price vehicles will be added every Wednesday during the promotion.
The vehicles were mainly operated as long-term rentals rather than short-term rentals. LOTTE Rental delivered them as new vehicles and provides records showing that they received regular maintenance from repair specialists. Before delivery, they undergo inspections by a quality-enhancement team whose members hold automotive maintenance technician qualifications, followed by quality-improvement work by specialized partner companies.
In addition, T car offers a guaranteed refund policy allowing customers to return a vehicle within seven days of purchase, along with six months, or 180 days, of free warranty repairs for major components such as the engine, transmission and braking system. Customers also receive one free engine-oil replacement visit, one free mobile maintenance service, and a one-year free pass to the Chabangjeong Plus Membership, which includes fuel, car-wash and parking benefits.
A T car representative said, "We prepared vehicles optimized for car camping so that customers who have been waiting for the fall camping season would not have to postpone their trips while waiting for a new vehicle to be delivered. We will continue to curate vehicles tailored to the season and each customer's lifestyle so they can find the car they want when they want it."
