[Financial News] President Lee Jae Myung visited the Armed Forces Capital Hospital on the morning of the 30th to comfort service members injured in a landmine explosion in the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) and their families. He promised to support them not only with treatment and rehabilitation but also so they can continue their military service.
Kim Seong-wan, a Cheong Wa Dae spokesperson, said in a written briefing that day that President Lee asked officials whether the injured personnel would receive appropriate compensation for injuries sustained during operations. He stressed, "If injured personnel do not receive sufficient recognition and respect, it directly affects military morale, so please be sure to take care of this."
