[Financial News] HJ Shipbuilding & Construction's construction division is sharing its safety and health policies with major partner companies and strengthening cooperation to prevent serious accidents at worksites.
According to HJ Shipbuilding & Construction's construction division on the 30th, the company invited CEOs from 30 major partner companies to its Namyeong office building in Seoul for the 2026 Partner Company CEO Safety and Health Meeting.
The meeting was organized to share the company's safety and health policies and key initiatives with partner companies and enhance safety management capabilities at worksites.
The first session began with opening remarks from HJ Shipbuilding & Construction CEO Song Kyung-han. Kwon Tae-seong, head of the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office, then shared the government's safety and health policies and industrial safety trends.
At the awards ceremony that followed, plaques and prize money were presented to three top-performing and outstanding partner companies in recognition of thorough safety management and strong construction progress-payment performance.
During the second session, the Industrial Safety Mutual Growth Foundation introduced its industrial safety and health support program for partner companies. HJ Shipbuilding & Construction's Construction Safety and Health Management Office presented its key safety and health initiatives and support measures for partner companies. The top-performing partner company shared examples of outstanding safety and health activities being implemented at its worksites, along with its management expertise.
HJ Shipbuilding & Construction also distributed a Q&A booklet on the Serious Accidents Punishment Act containing the government's official interpretations of relevant laws, along with 36 types of construction equipment checklists, to all participating partner companies.
Song Kyung-han, CEO of HJ Shipbuilding & Construction, said, "The safety of our partner companies is our competitiveness and our top priority, one that cannot be compromised. We will continue to build safe and healthy workplaces together with our partner companies through sincere communication and full support, rather than one-sided management."
Meanwhile, HJ Shipbuilding & Construction is pursuing site-focused safety and health measures in line with its emphasis on mutual growth and preventive action.
To reduce communication difficulties among multinational foreign workers, the company introduced an AI-based real-time interpretation and translation program at construction sites nationwide this month. In the second half of the year, it is also conducting a safety campaign under the slogan "Return to Zero, Start with Safety" to reduce recurring accidents such as falls and facility collapses.
