Nationwide Police Investigation Commanders Gather for First Time in 25 Months to Prepare for Criminal Justice System Transition

[Financial News] Police investigation commanders from across the country will gather for the first time in more than two years to discuss response strategies for the successful establishment of the new criminal justice system.
The Korean National Police Agency said on the 30th that it will hold the National Police Investigation Commanders' Meeting at 2 p.m. on Oct. 1 at Chamsuri Hall.
About 650 commanders are expected to attend, including heads of investigation departments at the rank of senior superintendent or above from city and provincial police agencies nationwide, as well as police station chiefs. It will be the first time in about 25 months that commanders at the level of police station chief or above from across the country have gathered in one place, following the previous gathering in August 2024.
The meeting was organized to reaffirm the determination of investigation commanders nationwide to make human rights and victim protection their top priorities ahead of the successful establishment of the new criminal justice system.
