[Financial News] The Korean National Police Agency and the Korea Local Finance Association will use a large billboard on the Yeouido section of Olympic-daero to present public-service advertisements for public safety, including campaigns to prevent youth cyber gambling and Phishing.
The Korean National Police Agency announced on the morning of the 30th that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korea Local Finance Association to broadcast public-service advertisements for public safety and establish a cooperation framework at its headquarters in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. Kim Jongcheol, acting commissioner general of the Korean National Police Agency, and Jung Sun-yong, chairman of the Korea Local Finance Association, attended the signing ceremony.
The memorandum was arranged to use digital out-of-home advertising to publicize key policing policies and public safety messages while continuously carrying out related public-interest campaigns. The Korea Local Finance Association operates large digital out-of-home advertising displays on the Yeouido section of Olympic-daero, where traffic volumes are high.
The two organizations agreed to work together to promote public-interest campaigns aimed at spreading a culture of public safety. They will also cooperate on broadcasting public-service advertisements through digital billboards, producing and promoting campaign content, and establishing a working-level cooperation framework to sustain the campaigns.
Under the agreement, the organizations will select major policing policies for each period and safety policies of high interest to the public, then produce and broadcast them as public-service advertisements. In October, they will run campaigns to prevent youth cyber gambling and promote traffic safety. In November, they will continue the campaigns with a focus on preventing new forms of electronic financial fraud (Phishing).
Jung said, "It is highly meaningful that we can deliver public safety messages through digital out-of-home advertising encountered in everyday life. We will continue strengthening our commitment to the public interest so that public messages needed by the public can be widely disseminated."
Kim said, "Through this memorandum, we will actively leverage the capabilities and promotional infrastructure of both organizations to continuously carry out public-interest campaigns for public safety. We will also continue various promotional activities that help people recognize the importance of safety in their daily lives."
