[Financial News] Support is pouring in for a man in his 30s who found a new job after being told he could not continue working with his colleagues when he informed his company that he was on the autism spectrum.
On the 29th, a post titled "I was fired after telling them I have autism" was uploaded to the online community Bobaedream.
The writer, identified only as A, said he was on the autism spectrum and began, "I wrote a post a while ago saying that I had found a job, but after I told them I was on the autism spectrum, I was informed that it would be difficult for me to continue working there."
He added, "I was told that it would be okay to work for another company, and I will start tomorrow. It is a job I can do alone without communicating with other people, and it involves simple, repetitive tasks."
Earlier, A had uploaded a post titled "I found a job" to the community in June.
At the time, he wrote, "After spending most of my time unemployed in my mid-30s, I got a job at a small company this time. I will give it my best shot."
