【Financial News, Incheon—Reporter Han Gap-su】 Incheon Port Authority will select 10 employment-track interns in the second half of this year to secure talent with expertise and diverse backgrounds.
Incheon Port Authority announced on the 30th that it is recruiting employment-track interns for the second half of 2026 in seven fields, including office work, construction, and facilities.
The office-work positions include general administration for high school graduates, general administration, and environmental work. The construction positions cover civil engineering and architecture, while the facilities positions include mechanical and electrical work.
The authority is operating a separate recruitment category for high school graduates to provide employment opportunities to people from diverse backgrounds. Additional points will be awarded during the selection process to persons with disabilities, employment-support beneficiaries, persons injured or killed while performing altruistic acts, and qualified applicants from outside the Seoul metropolitan area.
In particular, the authority will introduce a preferential treatment system for persons injured or killed while performing altruistic acts for the first time in this recruitment cycle. Under the system, eligible applicants will receive additional points equivalent to 3% to 5% of the maximum score on the written examination.
The recruitment will be conducted through a blind process. Applicants must submit their applications through the Incheon Port Authority recruitment website by 6 p.m. on October 8. Applications may not include personal information such as photographs, dates of birth, gender, school names, grade point averages, or addresses.
The selection process will begin with document screening in October, followed by written and interview examinations in November, and physical examinations and background checks in December.
Final successful candidates will work as employment-track interns for five months. Their appointment as regular employees will then be determined through a conversion assessment.
An Incheon Port Authority official said, "The recruitment focused on securing talent with expertise and diverse backgrounds while providing fair employment opportunities to people eligible for social consideration."
