[Financial News] Dunkin', operated by BR Korea, posted clear growth in performance, driven by Sangmidang Holdings President Heo Hee-soo's strategy to strengthen product competitiveness and expand delivery channels.
According to industry sources on the 30th, Dunkin', operated by BR Korea, saw its operating profit rise 53% year-on-year in the third quarter, helped by differentiated products, expanded delivery channels and store renovations. Sales increased 10% over the same period.
Heo Hee-soo's strategy to strengthen product competitiveness was instrumental in improving the company's performance. Dunkin' successively launched new products incorporating the latest dessert trends, including the flagship store Dunkin' Wonders, Dubai-style Chewy Munchkin and Butter Tteok Munchkin. More recently, it expanded consumers' choices with doughnuts reinterpreting traditional desserts.
The expansion of delivery channels also drove performance. By broadening its delivery network through partnerships with various platforms and introducing menus tailored to summer demand, Dunkin' increased delivery sales by 50% year-on-year last July.
Renovations aimed at improving store competitiveness also produced results. Sales at franchise stores remodeled to reflect the characteristics of their trading areas and locations rose 30% year-on-year in the third quarter.
A BR Korea representative said, "Efforts to strengthen the competitiveness of our differentiated products and delivery channels, as well as to improve store competitiveness, are translating into stronger performance." The representative added, "Based on a virtuous cycle in which franchisees' growth leads to the headquarters' growth, we will continue strengthening shared-growth management so that franchisees and the headquarters can achieve sustainable growth together."
