On the 30th, Hana Financial Group announced that it had held a launch ceremony the previous day at Hotel Sunshine in Daejeon for a project to revitalize commercial districts for young small business owners, under the theme "Changes in Commercial Districts Powered by Youth."
The ceremony marked the official launch of a joint project led by young people to revitalize local commercial districts. It was held as part of "Hana On, Youth On," an agreement signed by Hana Financial Group and Small Enterprise and Market Service in June to support the revitalization of commercial districts for young small business owners.
The event was attended by Ham Young-joo, chairman of Hana Financial Group, In Tae-yeon, president of Small Enterprise and Market Service, and approximately 100 people from 15 teams of young small business owners participating in the project from across the country.
Ham Young-joo, chairman of Hana Financial Group, said, "The promise we made in June to join forces for the growth of young small business owners and the revitalization of local commercial districts has led to concrete action today. Together with Small Enterprise and Market Service, we will continue to provide support so that the growth of young small business owners adds new vitality to local commercial districts and its achievements can spread nationwide."
Hana Financial Group and Small Enterprise and Market Service launched the "Hana On, Youth On" project in June, viewing the recovery of commercial districts for young entrepreneurs amid persistently high prices and a high exchange rate as requiring team-based joint action rather than support for individual stores. Over the following three months, they recruited participants publicly and selected 15 teams, comprising approximately 100 young small business owners from across the country.
The young small business owners will directly plan and carry out projects tailored to the characteristics of each commercial district, including joint events, customer-attraction programs, environmental improvements, and joint promotional activities. Hana Financial Group and Small Enterprise and Market Service will provide expert consulting, budget support, and tailored financial assistance.
Meanwhile, Hana Financial Group is actively supporting the sustainable growth of small business owners as part of its inclusive finance efforts. Ahead of Chuseok this month, it worked with Small Enterprise and Market Service on a "Good Egg" supply project for neighborhood supermarkets to ease consumers' burden from rising prices and boost sales for small business owners.
