[Financial News] KB Financial Group announced on the 30th that it had established the 'Win-Win Cooperation Master Fund' with the Korea Foundation for Cooperation of Large & Small Business, Rural Affairs (KOFCA) and Korea Venture Investment to support the growth of 'impact companies' that pursue both solutions to social problems and the creation of economic value.
The master fund is the first case of using the Large and Small Business Win-Win Cooperation Fund for venture investment following the revision of the Enforcement Decree of the Act on the Promotion of Mutually Beneficial Cooperation between Large Enterprises and Small and Medium Enterprises. KOFCA will invest KRW 3 billion out of the KRW 10 billion Win-Win Cooperation Fund established through KB Financial Group's contribution, while Korea Venture Investment will manage the master fund. Private capital will be matched in the future to establish subfunds totaling KRW 5 billion.
The subfunds will focus on investing in 'impact companies' that pursue both financial performance and solutions to social problems while demonstrating innovation and growth potential. The goal is to strengthen the business competitiveness of companies by providing them with the funding they need to grow, thereby creating a virtuous cycle in which corporate growth leads to solutions to social problems and the creation of social value.
