Busan Metropolitan City Government, Ruling and Opposition Parties Put Their Heads Together to Resolve Pending Issues and Secure National Funding

[Financial News] Busan Metropolitan City Government and political parties from both the ruling and opposition camps will come together to share key municipal issues and join forces to secure national government funding.
Busan Metropolitan City Government announced that it will host the Meeting on Busan's Development Among the Ruling and Opposition Parties and the City Government at the City Hall protocol room on the morning of the 30th, together with the Democratic Party of Korea Busan City Party Committee and the People Power Party Busan City Party Committee.
The meeting will be attended by Busan Mayor Chun Jae-soo, Democratic Party of Korea Busan City Party Committee Chairman Hong Bae Park, and People Power Party Busan City Party Committee Chairman Lee Seong-gwon, among others.
The ruling and opposition parties and the city government will establish a bipartisan cooperation framework and seek solutions to resolve key municipal issues and secure national government funding for Busan's development.
In particular, they will focus on ways to cooperate on the successful advancement of nine major initiatives, including the second phase of relocating public institutions such as Korea Development Bank (KDB) to regional areas, the timely opening of Gadeok Island New Airport, the conversion of Chimrye Hospital into a public hospital, and the establishment of a safe drinking-water supply system.
They also agreed to join forces to secure next year's national government funding for 17 key projects, including the establishment of the National Quantum Innovation Center, a Physical AI-based total-care AX platform linked to community care, the creation of the Blockchain Creative District, the establishment and operation of the Marine and Port AX Demonstration Center, and the development of a next-generation power semiconductor production platform.
Following the meeting, Busan Metropolitan City Government plans to strengthen communication and cooperation between the ruling and opposition parties for Busan's development and continue advancing a cooperative framework in which they put their heads together to discuss major issues.
