[Financial News] LG CNS participated in Data Centre World Asia 2026, Asia’s largest data center exhibition, held in Singapore on the 29th (local time), showcasing its capabilities in next-generation AI infrastructure.
LG CNS announced on the 30th that it would newly introduce its “Prefabricated Modular Data Center (PMDC)” and “AI factory full-stack service.”
PMDC consists of standardized modules containing the GPUs, servers, power systems and cooling equipment needed to build an AI factory. The modules are prefabricated and then installed on site. At the exhibition, LG CNS unveiled a scaled-down display model of the PMDC.
Compared with installing mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems and AI infrastructure after a data center has been built, PMDC minimizes on-site construction work and enables faster deployment. Modules can also be added immediately in response to a customer’s AI computing needs, allowing the infrastructure to be expanded flexibly.
LG CNS brought together One LG’s AI infrastructure capabilities in the PMDC. By combining LG CNS’s data center design, build and operation (DBO) capabilities with LG Electronics’ modular cooling infrastructure solutions and LG Energy Solution’s optimized battery solutions, the company provides an optimal infrastructure architecture essential for building AI factories.
Through PMDC, LG CNS plans to quickly provide customers with AI infrastructure when needed and support the phased expansion of that infrastructure as their businesses grow. The company aims to address both the shortage of AI infrastructure and rapidly rising demand.
LG CNS is also pursuing a “modular AI factory” business based on PMDC. A modular AI factory consists of small, containerized AI data centers, eliminating the need for customers to secure large sites or construct separate data center buildings. The facilities can be expanded by adding containers according to the required functions and AI computing capacity. LG CNS has launched a 4 MW IT-load module based on NVIDIA’s next-generation GPU, Vera Rubin, and a 1.2 MW module based on GB300. It plans to expand its lineup of modular AI factories with various specifications.
At Data Centre World Asia 2026 (DCWA), LG CNS also showcased an “AI factory full-stack service” based on NVIDIA’s next-generation GPU, Vera Rubin. The service integrates GPU as a Service (GPUaaS), which provides Vera Rubin GPU resources through the cloud; an intelligence service that supports real-time training and inference, including physical AI, using Vera Rubin; and power and cooling technologies for stable operations.
LG CNS plans to continuously advance its GPU computing performance and power and cooling technologies to maximize the efficiency of its intelligence services and lead the next generation of AI factory services.
Kim Tae-hoon, vice president and head of LG CNS’s AI Cloud Business Division, said, “An AI factory is a total service that combines a data center, GPU infrastructure and AI services.” He added, “LG CNS will lead the AI factory ecosystem and strengthen its business competitiveness based on its capabilities spanning data center design, construction and operations, as well as its AI infrastructure technologies.”
