Hoban Group Seeks Artists-in-Residence for Fifth H ART LAB Cohort

[Financial News] The Hoban Cultural Foundation is recruiting resident artists and theorists for the fifth cohort of H ART LAB to support their creative activities. H ART LAB, a creative-space support program operated by Hoban Group, is being held for the fifth time this year.
Hoban Group said on the 30th that H ART LAB is open to artists and theorists in all fields of visual art.
Artists aged 19 or older who work in visual arts, including painting, sculpture, photography, installation and new media, may apply. Theorists must have at least three years of writing and research experience in visual arts. Applications will be accepted through the H ART LAB website from October 1 to 30.
Selected residents will work at H ART LAB in Jeonnam-Gwangju Special City for 10 months, from January 18 to November 26, 2027. The Hoban Cultural Foundation will provide individual creative spaces and shared spaces, as well as support for producing interview videos, artist-participation programs and a final exhibition.
H ART LAB also operates programs that connect local communities and art. During the three-day Open Studio event for the fourth cohort of H ART LAB, which began on the 11th, resident artists opened their studios, introduced their artistic practices and engaged with visitors. A Hoban Cultural Foundation official said, "We will continue providing practical support so that resident artists can develop their own artistic worlds."
