[Financial News] bb.q Chicken has been selected as an emerging brand attracting attention from U.S. consumers. Its innovation was highly rated, demonstrating its growth potential in the local market.
According to industry sources on the 30th, Genesis BBQ Group ranked eighth overall in "Emerging Dining Brands in the United States 2026," announced by YouGov, a global research and data analytics firm.
Genesis BBQ Group was the only Korean dining brand to rank among the top 10.
YouGov is a research firm founded in the United Kingdom in 2000. It analyzes brand perceptions and consumer behavior based on consumer panels and data from around the world.
The survey measured U.S. adults' perceptions of emerging brands growing in the United States dining market, including restaurants, quick-service restaurants (QSRs), fast-casual outlets, and bakeries. YouGov selected 34 brands for its final evaluation after more than 10% of Americans said they were familiar with them.
Genesis BBQ Group ranked eighth among all 34 brands in the emerging-brand momentum assessment. In the innovation category, which measured the share of respondents who said the brand presents new ideas to the United States dining market, it ranked third overall.
YouGov analyzed that Genesis BBQ Group received a higher innovation rating than other global dining brands that have grown from a base in Southeast Asia.
A Genesis BBQ Group official said, "These results are significant because they show that U.S. consumers view our brand as a dining brand with growth potential and innovation," adding, "We will continue to expand our competitiveness in the United States and global markets through our distinctive taste and quality and a differentiated K-food experience."
