[Financial News] GENORAY, a global medical imaging device company, is introducing GT300 to overseas markets following its flagship dental CT (dental computed tomography) 'PAPAYA' series. The company aims to expand its overseas sales channels by adding a new product line to its previously product-centered dental business.
According to GENORAY on the 30th, its dental CT model GT300 has obtained certification under Europe's Medical Device Regulation (CE MDR).
The significance of the certification lies not simply in adding another European approval, but in expanding GENORAY's dental CT portfolio. While the PAPAYA series has been the backbone of its overseas dental business, the certification allows the company to add the GT series to its global sales network.
GENORAY has expanded its dental imaging lineup based on the PAPAYA series, ranging from large CBCT (cone-beam computed tomography) systems to compact and portable equipment. PAPAYA 3D PREMIUM is also broadening its applications beyond dental care to include ENT (ear, nose and throat) treatment.
Based on the CE MDR certification, GENORAY plans to pursue local registration and expand sales in Europe and other countries where the certification can be used. This will allow the company to expand the existing PAPAYA series while launching new sales of the GT series at the same time.
Earlier this year, GENORAY expanded overseas projects and certifications in its Medical business, which focuses on medical imaging, particularly through C-arm (mobile X-ray fluoroscopy) systems and mammography equipment. With GT300 now equipped for overseas sales, the company says it has also broadened the growth potential of its Dental business, which focuses on dental imaging, following Medical.
A GENORAY official said, "GT300 has joined the dental CT business, which has grown around PAPAYA, as a new product line," adding, "With this certification as a starting point, we plan to fully launch GT300's global sales efforts and expand our presence in overseas markets."
An official from the medical AI industry added, "For medical devices, actual local registration and securing distribution networks after certification are key to expanding sales," noting, "For companies with established overseas sales networks, adding newly certified products to existing channels can increase sales per product, which is a major advantage."
