US Government Launches AI-Based 'AI for Everyone' Website [Global AI Briefing]

[Financial News] On the 29th (local time), U.S. President Donald Trump opened 'America.gov,' an AI-based integrated civil complaint site where federal government information and services can be accessed in one place, and signed an executive order mandating the integration of all federal agencies.
It is essentially the U.S. government's AI-based version of 'AI for Everyone,' enabling Americans to handle federal civil services all at once—such as passport renewals, public health insurance enrollment, reservations for federal campgrounds, and student loan verification—using AI chatbots without having to visit the relevant departments or agencies individually.
Regarding the 'America.gov' website, President Trump emphasized, "This innovation in government is just a preview of what is possible with superintelligence (SI)," adding, "We have become accustomed to a huge government, but through 'America.gov,' the entire U.S. government will be in the palm of your hand."
The White House described 'America.gov' as a "safe, intelligent, and service-oriented single entry point," stating that it "sets civil service standards befitting a superpower while becoming the final destination for all federal complaints."
The goal is to enable AI chatbots to search for and process administrative procedures without users having to search through approximately 29,000 government websites individually. Currently, the service responds to user inquiries with the latest information, and functions for handling tasks such as passport renewal and health insurance enrollment will be added within this year. Subsequently, the service will be expanded sequentially as each agency integrates with it.
In particular, the White House pointed out that "Americans spend about 10 billion hours a year processing federal administrative documents" and emphasized that "this measure is a reform that gives time back to the people."
Meanwhile, the industry is focusing its attention on the fact that 'America.gov' has introduced a competitive landscape to the U.S. government's AI procurement market by providing public services using multiple AI models rather than relying on a single AI model from a specific company.
Joe Gebbia, Chief Design Officer (CDO) of the National Design Studio and the head of operations for 'America.gov', revealed in a media interview that 'America.gov' is powered by Google Gemini and Grok.
