Republic of Korea Air Force Staff Sergeant in His 20s Found Dead After Leaving Names of About 10 People in Red at Quarters

[Financial News] A Republic of Korea Air Force staff sergeant in his 20s was found dead at his quarters during the Chuseok holiday. About 10 people's names written in red were also found at the scene, and military investigators are examining every possibility, including workplace harassment.
According to military authorities on the 29th, Air Force Staff Sergeant A was found dead on the morning of the 26th at quarters on the grounds of an Air Force unit in Cheongju-si, Chungcheongbuk-do.
In particular, a suicide note believed to have been written by Staff Sergeant A was found at the scene. The names of about 10 people written in red were also found on the bathroom door of the quarters.
Staff Sergeant A reportedly attempted suicide once during training at a transport specialty school after being commissioned in June. After being assigned to his unit, he was known to have applied for a review of his suitability for active-duty service.
The ROK Air Force reportedly conducted an initial examination of the body and an on-site inspection in cooperation with relevant agencies, including civilian police and the National Human Rights Commission of Korea (NHRCK).
