Donald Trump: "Kim Jong Un Has a Considerable Nuclear Arsenal... He Will Be Safe as Long as I Am President"

[Financial News]  United States President Donald Trump said on the 29th (local time) that Kim Jong Un, North Korea's leader, possesses "a considerable number" of nuclear weapons and that he "will be safe" as long as Donald Trump is president.
President Donald Trump made the remarks during a question-and-answer session with reporters after meeting with executives of major artificial intelligence (AI) companies at the White House in Washington, D.C. He was responding to the question, "Why is the Islamic Republic of Iran not allowed to possess nuclear weapons while North Korea can?"
He said, "As long as I am president, he will be safe," adding, "Do you know why? Because he respects and likes me."
President Donald Trump continued, "Kim Jong Un is my friend. He likes Donald Trump. Many other people don't," adding, "I am the only person in the world whom he likes, and I like him too. I get criticized when I say that. People say it's terrible."
Trump said of Kim Jong Un, "He has nuclear capabilities, although not to the extent that we do," adding, "Do you know why? Because there have been presidents who did not do what I did. There were presidents who were not Donald Trump, and they failed to prevent [North Korea from possessing nuclear weapons]," indirectly criticizing the former administration of Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. He then stated, "As long as I am president, he [Kim Jong Un] will be fine."
