Police Raid Cosmo Robotics over Alleged Inflation of Sales by 3.5 Billion Won

[Financial News] Police have launched a compulsory investigation into Cosmo Robotics, a KOSDAQ-listed robotics company suspected of inflating its sales by approximately 3.5 billion won.
According to police and other sources on the 29th, the Financial Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency conducted a search and seizure at Cosmo Robotics' office in Guro District, Seoul, on the same day over suspected violations of the Financial Investment Services and Capital Markets Act, including unfair trading practices.
Cosmo Robotics is suspected of falsely recording sales as revenue by making it appear that, around March last year, it had sold some of its self-produced wearable rehabilitation robots, worth approximately 400 million won, to a company.
There are also allegations that the company inflated its overseas sales in December of the same year by recording the transaction as though its European subsidiary had sold robots worth approximately 2 billion won.
Police believe Cosmo Robotics reflected the false sales in its 2025 financial statements and overstated its actual sales by approximately 3.5 billion won.
Investigators are also examining whether Cosmo Robotics presented the inflated financial statements to investors during the public offering process for listing in the first half of this year, making the company's sales appear to be growing steadily.
