Incumbent Ulsan Metropolitan Council Member Caught Drunk Driving; Police Investigating Circumstances

【Financial News, Ulsan = Choi Su-sang, reporter】 An incumbent member of the Ulsan Metropolitan Council was caught driving while heavily intoxicated.
According to the Ulsan Dongbu Police Station and other sources on the 29th, Councilor A, a member of the People Power Party on the Ulsan Metropolitan Council, was caught in a police drunk-driving crackdown at around 9:30 p.m. on the 23rd after driving while intoxicated on a road in Dong District, Ulsan.
Councilor A's blood alcohol concentration at the time of the crackdown was reportedly at a level warranting license revocation.
Councilor A was also found to have received a license suspension in 2013 for drunk driving.
Councilor A was quoted by Yonhap News Agency as saying, "I have no excuse, even if I had ten mouths. I am sorry for causing this trouble."
Police booked Councilor A on suspicion of violating the Road Traffic Act and plan to investigate the detailed circumstances.
