Malicious comments have been appearing on Lee Young-ae's recent social media posts since the 27th. The comments criticize the review she posted after attending the VIP preview screening of 'Assassin(s)', including, "How could you leave such a review after watching a film that defames the dead?" "Noona, what's gotten into you all of a sudden?" and "I'm disappointed. I don't even want to see your face."
Lee Young-ae attended the VIP preview screening of 'Assassin(s)' on the 21st and handwritten a review saying, "I found it thrilling and deeply moving." Kim Go-eun, who also attended the screening, wrote, "I felt deeply grateful for the present. Please make sure to watch it and feel it for yourselves." However, after its release, 'Assassin(s)' became embroiled in controversy over historical distortion, and the backlash spread to these actors as well.
