[NEW DELHI, India—Pragya Awasati, Correspondent] Amorepacific India has established a new "premium division" dedicated to the Indian businesses of premium K-beauty brands Laneige and Sulwhasoo.
According to local media reports on the 29th, Amorepacific India announced that it had appointed Vidushi Goyal as business head overseeing the businesses of its premium brands Laneige and Sulwhasoo.
As the new business head, Vidushi Goyal will oversee Laneige and Sulwhasoo's overall business operations and marketing in the Indian market. She will focus in particular on driving the growth of both brands and developing strategies tailored to Indian consumers and market characteristics. The newly established premium division in India will manage the online and offline business and marketing strategies of Laneige and Sulwhasoo in an integrated manner.
Amorepacific's decision to apply in India an organizational structure used in key strategic markets across its global portfolio is seen as part of a strategy to strengthen its local premium beauty business, reflecting the company's view of India as one of its key future growth markets.
Through the organizational restructuring, Amorepacific plans to strengthen Laneige and Sulwhasoo's brand competitiveness in India's premium beauty market and pursue an integrated business strategy spanning online and offline channels.
India's premium beauty market is at an important inflection point," Vidushi Goyal, the business head, said. "I am very excited to lead the growth of Laneige and Sulwhasoo." She added, "Laneige has already built a loyal customer base, particularly among Generation Z and millennials, while Sulwhasoo can convey an authentic luxury story to India's sophisticated beauty consumers, backed by its 80-year history of ginseng research."
Goyal also expressed her ambition to grow the two brands into India's most loved K-beauty brands and further strengthen Amorepacific's leadership in the Indian market.
The new business head, Goyal, has more than 15 years of experience in beauty, personal care, and D2C (direct-to-consumer) businesses. She worked on the founding marketing team at Mamaearth and later participated in building and growing consumer brands at Swiss Beauty.
