KB Kookmin Bank and Kakao Group Co-Host 'Next Finance Korea 2026'

[Financial News] KB Kookmin Bank co-hosted the 'Next Finance Korea 2026' conference with Kakao Group at The Westin Seoul Parnas on the 28th.
Approximately 150 participants from the domestic and international digital asset and financial industries attended the conference. It was organized to discuss the direction of the rapidly changing digital asset market and strengthen networks among participants.
Seo Ki-won, vice president of KB Kookmin Bank's Management Planning Group, and Lee Sang-ryul, head of KB Kookmin Bank's DT Promotion Department, served as the keynote speaker and panel-session presenter, respectively. They emphasized that trust remains the essence of finance even in the emerging digital asset market.
Seo, who delivered a presentation on the conference theme, emphasized, "Even as technology advances, the essence of finance—that customers must be able to entrust their assets with peace of mind—does not change. We will extend the trust KB has built up into the digital sphere and, together with our partners, build new financial infrastructure that connects the issuance and distribution of digital value."
Lee also presented the bank's future vision during the panel session, saying, "The digital asset market is a field of opportunity that creates new financial demand," and added, "Banks will be responsible for core 'Trust Layers,' including reserve asset management and anti-money-laundering measures."
