YBM to Add TSC and SJPT Tests in November to Meet Major Companies' Recruitment and Performance-Evaluation Needs

[Financial News] Opportunities to take second-language exams will increase in line with year-end recruitment and personnel-evaluation schedules at major companies.
YBM announced on the 29th that it will add one regular Test of Spoken Chinese (TSC) and one regular Japanese speaking test (SJPT) in November to meet demand from companies' year-end recruitment and personnel evaluations. The exams, which have traditionally been held once a month, will be offered twice in November, on the 7th and 21st.
TSC and SJPT scores are currently used as recruitment and personnel-evaluation indicators by major Korean companies, including Samsung Group, SK hynix, POSCO Group, LG Group, CJ Group and Korean Air. Samsung Group gives preference in its recruitment of Grade 3 entry-level employees to applicants with a TSC score of Level 4 or higher, while SJPT scores are considered when selecting employees for assignments in Japan.
Scores from the additional November 7 test will be announced at noon on November 18. Registration opened on the 28th, and applicants can sign up through November 5 on the official TSC and SJPT websites.
