[Financial News] Domestic women's designer brands newly listed on 29CM, the fashion platform operated by MUSINSA, are showing strong growth.
According to 29CM on the 29th, the 48 women's fashion brands that joined 29CM exclusively this year had recorded a cumulative transaction value of KRW 12 billion through the 27th.
FARVEN, a second-year brand that joined the platform at the end of February, surpassed KRW 4.1 billion in cumulative transaction value in just seven months. The 20 brands that joined exclusively at the end of last month reached a combined cumulative transaction value of KRW 1.5 billion in just over a month.
Emerging brands are also achieving strong early results. Deopiseuteu, a brand in its second month since launch, gained exposure through Suyo Ipjeomhoe, a feature highlighting new brands, and recorded KRW 200 million in transaction value just five days after joining the platform on the 25th of last month. NOMELET, NO_NAME Seoul, NUAH and Etobe each surpassed KRW 100 million in transaction value within 15 days of joining.
29CM is strengthening its curation strategy by identifying promising domestic designer brands and introducing them to female customers with distinct preferences in their consumption choices. Through content that showcases brands and products, as well as sales programs tailored to each stage of growth, the platform is helping emerging and small-to-medium-sized brands expand their customer reach.
As of the end of this month, 80 of the top 100 brands in 29CM's fashion category by transaction value were emerging or small-to-medium-sized brands. Their combined transaction value increased by more than 44% from the same period a year earlier.
A 29CM official said, "New domestic brands are recording meaningful transaction values from the early stages of joining the platform," adding, "We will actively identify brands with strong growth potential and strengthen collaboration to help them establish themselves in the market."
