Dongseo University (President Jekuk Chang) announced on the 29th that Jeong Do-un, Head of the Career and Employment Support Office, received the Presidential Commendation at the '2026 Government Awards for Meritorious Service in Supporting Job Creation'.
It is achieving results in fostering local talent by providing full-cycle employment support linking the Student Success Center, University Job Plus Center, and Work-Study Joint Training Center, as well as through cooperation with the Busan Northern District Office of the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
Dongseo University’s Student Success Center, which is focusing its efforts on student employment, supports major and career planning based on aptitudes and strengths, while the University Job Plus Center assists with job preparation and connections with companies through customized counseling, employment consulting, mentoring by working professionals, and company information sessions.
Work-Study Joint Training Centers are fostering practical competencies required in the industrial field by linking university education with on-the-job training at companies.
This support is provided based on the student success-based 'DSU READY Career and Employment Model,' tailored to the students' career goals and level of preparation.
We are improving support by analyzing program participation and employment outcomes, and enhancing students' adaptability to the workplace and employment competitiveness through practical training, field training, and internships utilizing corporate networks in the Busan, Ulsan, and South Gyeongsang Province regions.
Dongseo University is also focusing its efforts on fostering local talent through cooperation with the Busan Northern District Office of the Ministry of Employment and Labor (Director Chulmin Yoon).
Based on the educational and employment support capabilities of universities and cooperation with local employment administration, we are supporting young people's entry into local businesses and expanding the pathway to 'learn, find employment, and settle in the region.'
