Celltrion to Expand Global Partnering for Novel Drugs and CDMO at CPHI

Celltrion said on the 29th that it will participate in the 2026 World Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Exhibition (CPHI), which will be held in Milan, Italy, from Oct. 6 to 8. The event is expected to attract more than 60,000 pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry officials, along with approximately 2,400 companies from around 170 countries.
At the event, Celltrion will seek global partners in novel drug development areas, including oncology, obesity and metabolic diseases, and autoimmune diseases. The company plans to identify opportunities for co-development and business collaboration to expand its next-generation novel drug pipeline.
In its existing biosimilar-focused business, Celltrion will concentrate on strengthening manufacturing and supply-chain competitiveness. It will reinforce CMO partnerships with overseas suppliers of raw and auxiliary materials while seeking new partners to diversify its supply chain.
Celltrion will also pursue partnerships to expand its CDMO business. Based on its experience developing antibody-based biopharmaceuticals and its manufacturing capabilities, the company plans to address global CDMO demand and expand its biosimilar-centered business structure into CDMO and novel drugs.
Celltrion has participated in CPHI with a solo booth for five consecutive years since 2022. This year, it will set up a booth spanning approximately 152 square meters (46 pyeong) and hold business meetings with potential customers and partners in dedicated meeting rooms and a lounge.
A Celltrion official said, "We will simultaneously pursue strengthening the supply competitiveness of our existing core businesses, responding to CDMO demand, and collaborating on next-generation novel drug pipelines."
