[Financial News] Music streaming and download records accumulated on Melon can now be used on Berriz to verify fan activity without any additional procedures. The records will also be linked to official fan club verification and Melon Ticket, making it more convenient for users to enjoy music, participate in fan activities and access concert presales.
Kakao Entertainment announced on the 29th that it has begun linking accounts between its music platform Melon and Berriz, a global K-culture fan platform.
Through the integration, music streaming and download records accumulated on Melon will be automatically connected to Berriz. Users will be able to verify their fan activity when attending music shows or applying for fan events without going through separate verification procedures using printed materials or other documents.
Kakao Entertainment plans to expand the scope of connections between the two platforms based on the account integration. Users will be able to check official artist schedules and news updated on Berriz, as well as information on official merchandise (MD) purchases, through their Melon accounts.
Berriz’s official fan club verification information will also be linked to Melon Ticket. This will make it easier for official fan club members to take part in fan club presales when purchasing tickets for concerts and other events.
While Melon connects artists and fans primarily through music listening, Berriz is a platform where K-culture fans—including fans of K-pop, dramas, variety shows and sports—can communicate with artists and access content and merchandise. Kakao Entertainment plans to link the various points of fan activity across the two platforms, from listening to music and verifying fan activity to communicating with artists, purchasing merchandise and booking tickets for performances.
The two platforms will also be integrated for the “2026 Melon Music Awards,” which will be held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul from November 14 to 15. Official voting for the newly created “Global TOP10” category will take place on Berriz to expand participation among global fans.
An event commemorating the account integration will run through November 4. Users who apply to link their Melon and Berriz accounts on the Melon event page and enter the event will be entered into a drawing for prizes including invitations to MMA2026.
A Kakao Entertainment official said, "We will continue to plan a variety of fan-focused services and enhance our platforms so that fans around the world can enjoy K-pop and K-culture in a fun and convenient way."
