CJ Logistics announced on the 29th that it would support operations for Danggeunjeol, a secondhand-trading event taking place on October 10, through its nationwide logistics infrastructure.
Danggeunjeol is an event launched for the first time this year to promote secondhand trading among local neighbors and spread a culture of sustainable consumption. Customers who purchase items through Karrot's Baro Purchase service on that day can receive a "zero delivery fee" benefit up to five times per person.
CJ Logistics provides secondhand-trade logistics services through O-NE, its seven-days-a-week delivery service. Baro Purchase is a parcel delivery service in which a CJ Logistics driver visits to collect an item after the seller requests delivery and then delivers it to the buyer.
The two companies began working together in September last year, when Karrot launched Baro Purchase. CJ Logistics has built a nationwide secondhand-trading network by handling deliveries for the service. According to CJ Logistics, transaction volume has recorded double-digit growth every month since the service expanded nationwide in March.
A CJ Logistics official said, "We will continue to improve customer convenience by introducing differentiated peer-to-peer delivery services through innovation in everyday logistics services."
