[Financial News] Binggrae is stepping up its push into the Latin American market by placing Melona with Mexican retailers.
Binggrae said on the 29th that it participated in the 2026 Mexico K-Expo, held in Mexico City from the 24th to the 27th, local time, and operated a promotional booth.
The Mexico K-Expo is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and organized by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA). It was established to support the joint export of K-content and related consumer goods.
Binggrae showcased major export products, including Banana Flavored Milk and Melona, and conducted a range of programs, including tasting events.
It also established business partnerships through meetings with Mexican retailers. In particular, Binggrae has decided to place Melona at Soriana, one of Mexico's leading retailers, this November.
Binggrae currently sells Banana Flavored Milk through Mexican retailers such as Soriana and HEB. Following Melona's placement at Soriana, the company plans to pursue mainstream retail listings in Mexico for popular ice cream products, including Samanco.
Binggrae plans to accelerate its expansion into the Latin American market, using Mexico as a base.
A Binggrae official said, "The expo gave us an opportunity to confirm the keen interest of Mexican consumers and retailers in products such as Melona and Banana Flavored Milk." The official added, "We will use Mexico as a base to expand our distribution network across the Latin American market."
